🌊 About the Youth Peace Culture Festival

The Youth Peace Culture Festival – OMBAK (浪潮) is a bold initiative to inspire youth to become leaders of peace and unity in Malaysia and beyond.

Introduction

In this spirit, over 10,000 youth will gather at N9 Arena Stadium to embody the unstoppable energy of waves—forward-moving, diverse, courageous, and borderless. Through dynamic cultural performances and artistic expressions, the event will not only empower youth but also showcase Malaysia’s rich multicultural heritage and the collective desire of young people to foster social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.

Our Objectives

  • Empower Youth as Peacebuilders — To nurture self-belief and courage to act for humanity.
  • Encourage Action for SDGs — To connect youth ideals with the global movement for sustainability.
  • Promote Unity in Diversity — To celebrate Malaysia’s multicultural heritage as a strength for peace.
  • Create a Lasting Legacy — To inspire continued youth-led peace initiatives beyond the festival.

Organising Body

Organised by Soka Gakkai Malaysia (Selangor & Negeri Sembilan Branch), a lay-Buddhist NGO working towards peace, culture and education. OMBAK is part of a global peace movement that empowers youth through culture, education, and humanistic values.
